Tours on Ometepe Island

Hikes on Ometepe Island The easiest way to get to Ometepe from the mainland is by boat from San Jorge, the little port town on the shore of Lake Nicaragua next to Rivas. From there you catch a ferry or a smaller boat to either Moyogalpa or San Jose del Sur. Ferries and small boats leave the dock several times per day, every day.
With our partners on the mainland, we offer transportation services to and from San Jorge, including airport transfers. We can also pick you up or drop you off anywhere within Nicaragua. If you prefer a private transport on the mainland to get to Ometepe Island please have a look at our transportation rates.
